The responsibilities and composition of the Audit Committee was formally established by a motion based at the September 13, 1997 ISMAA Board Meeting; however, the committee had existed for several years prior to that time.
The responsibilities of the Audit Commitee is to annually review the books of the Section Treasurer for adequacy and correctness of the procedures used to keep the financial records of the Section and to report their findings annually.
The Audit Committee consists of 2 members appointed by the Chair of the Section for 2 year rotating terms.
